Prepare before summer arrives
Book a pre-summer AC service in April or May before the heat overwhelms service schedules.
Clean or replace all filters. Check the outdoor unit for dust build-up and physical damage.
Test every AC in the house before you need it — small faults become emergencies once it hits 45°C.
Pre-cool, don't chase the heat
Start cooling before rooms get hot — pre-cool in the morning at 24°C rather than chasing 45°C at 3 PM.
Pre-cooling uses far less energy than trying to catch up during peak heat.
Manage humidity
Humidity is what makes Dubai summers feel unbearable — not just temperature.
Running the AC on cool mode automatically dehumidifies the air. Avoid 'fan only' mode during humid days.
Shade wins the fight
Direct sun through windows adds a huge cooling load. Close blinds or curtains during peak sun.
External shade — awnings, planted screens — is more effective than internal blinds.
Know when to call for service
Warm air, weak airflow, water leaks or unusual sounds during summer are all signs to book service immediately.
Waiting weeks turns simple repairs into expensive breakdowns.
